Dharma Moon is delighted to present a free online evening of exploration with Vedic scholar and Lineage Holder Acharya Shunya and Dharma Moon Founder and Senior Buddhist Teacher David Nichtern.

Both Buddhist and Vedic traditions originate from India, a land rich in spiritual traditions and adepts for thousands of years. Both paths share a common interest in understanding the nature of reality and the search for ultimate truth. The two traditions also intersect in their ethical teachings, particularly in their emphasis on non-violence and compassion.

The evening will begin with a presentation by Acharya Shunya on the archetype of Saraswati, the Vedic Goddess of light, truth, intuition, wisdom, and liberation. Learning about this archetype can aid in your spiritual path, integration of past traumas, and emotional healing. Listening to these mantras in Sanskrit with guided visioning is a traditional pathway to unburdening your mind and experiencing the deep freedom of the heart. Acharya Shunya, a distinguished Vedic scholar, ordained Lineage Holder, and bestselling author of three books, will share how understanding Saraswati's archetype can provide students and practitioners with a deeper understanding of themselves and their connection to the world around them.

Following Acharya Shunya's presentation, there will be a dialogue between her and David Nichtern, exploring the perspectives of their respective traditions and how they intertwine and differentiate. The evening will conclude with an open Q&A session.

This program promises to be a powerful and compelling exploration of the intersection between the Buddhist and Vedic traditions. We hope to see you there!
